Take a Chance 2009-2010!

A new Chance business idea competition starts on the 1st of February 2010. The competition is open for all students in Vaasa universities and universities of applied sciences. You can participate alone or e.g. with teams of 3-5 persons.

Timetable and process

Step 1 (1.2. - 31.3.)
The teams are formed and basic information is provided

The Inspiration Shock on the 2nd of March 2010 in Levon-Hall in Vaasa University opens the view into different business opportunities.

Step 2 (1.2. - 31.3.)
Registration and participation

Step 3 (1.4. - 15.4.)
Pre-selection of MiniBP´s

The steering group of Chance chooses the 20 best MiniBP´s into the Semi-Final

Step 4 (16.4. - 30.4.)
Semi-Final

The 20 best MiniBP´s will be presented (max. 10 minutes) to the Jury
The Jury has studied beforehand the MiniBP´s
All the Semi-Finalists get short oral feedback
The Jury chooses the 10 best MiniBP´s into the Finale

Step 5 (1.5- 31.5.)
The Finale and awarding ceremony

The Jury evaluates the 10 best MiniBP´s in their meeting
The 3 best MiniBP´s of both categories will be awarded
An additional "special mention" can be awarded by the universities/universities of applied sciences

Chance -idea competition´s sponsors and prizes 2009-2010

The total sum of prizes is almost 5000 €, of which the category winners get 1500 € each. The remaining prizes will be awarded according to the jury´s consideration. The jury consists of the representatives of the sponsors and various expert organizations.

The best service idea

In the competition the focus is especially on the new and innovative business ideas, e.g. the service and product can be combined in a new way. The idea should however be new. You should not have participated with your idea in any business idea competition earlier and it should not be an idea of the existing company.
